The IQA SA Branch would like to invite any YMNs (Young Members Network – under 35s) to a site visit scheduled for Friday 22 June 2018 as follows:

The focus will be placed on the different sand extraction methods and the challenges and opportunities that the different methods present to the operators.

Date: Friday 29nd June 2018

Venues:

  • Hanson Sand Quarry,
  • Port Wakefield,
  • Southern Quarries Price Pit, 
  • Southern Quarries Clinton Pit
  • and lastly Coopers Alehouse

Program:

8:45am Meet at Hanson Sand Quarry
Golden Grove Road, Golden Grove
(drive north past Garden Grove, – entrance opposite shops and service station)
9:00am-10:00am Site tour Hanson Sand Quarry
10:00am Drive to Port Wakefield
11:15am-11:45am Lunch break Port Wakefield
11:45am-12:15pm Drive to Southern Quarries*
Price Pit and then Clinton Pit
Crowell Road – Price
Clinton Minolta Road – Clinton
12:30pm – 2:30pm Site tour Price & Clinton Pits
2:30pm Drive to Coopers Alehouse
560 Main North Road, Blair Athol, Gepps Cross
2:30pm-4:00pm Debrief Refreshments/networking

*site maps will be handed out at Hanson

Please note:

  • PPE gear is required (boots, hat, hi-vis, safety glasses, long pants and sleeves).
  • There is limited car parking available so carpooling is encouraged.  A bus will be organised should there be strong numbers.

IQA’s Cancellation Policy
IQA event and workshop cancellations are non-refundable; however, participant substitution is available. Please notify the IQA’s Chief Executive Officer at ceo@quarry.com.au if participant substitution is required. 

Where circumstances force the IQA to cancel an event or workshop, the liability of the IQA shall be limited to a refund of any fees paid for that particular event or workshop.

IQA’s Privacy Policy

The IQA is concerned with the protection of your privacy. We support the Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), as amended. The IQA collects and stores your personal information for the purposes of providing membership services, education programs, and improving and promoting products, including publication of photographs and other images taken at IQA events and workshops.
