Precisionscreen is a manufacturer and importer of screening and crushing equipment and has been successfully established for 30 years. Precisionscreen are Australian Sandvik dealers for mobile crushing and screening equipment.

We are currently seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our Queensland branch based out of Stapylton. Working between both the Stapylton & Wacol braches. 
This role is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, servicing and commissioning mobile screens and crushers. Carrying out repairs and maintenance in both preventative and breakdown situations on clients sites and at the branch.

The successful applicant will possess the following skills, qualifications and attributes:
  • Relevant trade qualifications
  • Extensive industry experience - at least 3 years in a similar role
  • Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • A sound knowledge of electric, electronic, hydraulic and mechanical systems
  • Being able to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical and hydraulic schematics
  • The ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience with mobile crushing & screening equipment or similar industrial equipment would be highly regarded
  • Must be prepared to travel
  • Current manual drivers licence
  • Forklift licence & white card advantageous but not essential

About the role
Reporting to the Director – Infrastructure Services, this role is responsible for managing and coordinating the sourcing and supply of quarry products and construction materials for Council’s civil construction and maintenance works and external customers. The primary responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
  • Management of Council’s Roma Quarry operations and quarry team members
  • Management and coordination of Council’s Remote Quarry Pit Operations
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, statutory regulations, quarrying industry standards and Council’s Integrated Maranoa Management System (IMMS) –(Enterprise Risk, Quality, Safety & Environment)
  • Site Senior Executive (SSE) as prescribed by theMining and Quarrying Safety & Health Act 1999
The successful applicant will:
  • Provide strong leadership in the areas of safety, environment, community relations, production and quality assurance
  • Be fully involved in key planning and budgeting activities with responsibility for implementing strategies to achieve IMMS, production and financial targets
  • Manage and develop quarry team members to ensure they have the necessary skills to operate safely and efficiently
  • Focus on planning and scheduling, process efficiency and continuous improvements
Have ‘hands –on” experience in the operation of fixed and mobile crushing plant, earthworks and drilling and blasting

The qualifications you must have
  • Certificate IV in Surface Extraction Operations or similar qualification with extensive industry experience
  • C (Car) Class Driver Licence
  • General Construction Induction (White) Card
  • Eligibility for appointment as a Site Senior Executive (SSE)

  • Qualified Quarry Manager with previous experience in gravel quarries
  • Strong culture of safety leadership and a working knowledge of Safety Management Systems and relevant legislation and regulations relating to quarrying activities
  • Skills in developing positive relationships with all people, including employees, clients (internal & external), and government regulatory organisations
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise, understand time frames and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with in a multi-disciplined environment to deliver productivity and cost improvements
  • Self-motivated, hard-working and a team player with a professional manner
  • Well-developed computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite)

About the role
Beenleigh Quarry, located between Brisbane & Gold Coast, is our strategic operation within the QLD region. This role will motivate and drive our production team to achieve their very best whilst also meeting company safety, environmental and financial targets.

You will be a key part of the leadership team responsible for assisting the Management team to deliver products that are fit for purpose, meet business forecasts and customer expectations.

About you
You will ideally come from a similar role within a quarrying/mining environment managing crushing, screening or a large process plant. You will have demonstrated experience supervising, training and coaching a multi discipline team.

The position will assist the Quarry Manager and Assistant Quarry Manager with management duties including performance development and management of operators, providing workflow and process direction, contractor and customer communications, site audits, general maintenance and upkeep of the quarry.

You will also need
  • Relevant quarry supervision accreditation such as Diploma in Extractive Industries or similar would be an advantage but not essential
  • Demonstrated leadership and people supervision experience
  • Thorough understanding of crushing and screening operations.
  • Working knowledge of Safety Management Systems
  • Be reliable, motivated and be able to work under pressure and changing priorities
