"Joining the IQA and networking with its members violently ignited my passion for quarrying was already sparked by my work in Hanson. It was a gateway that opened different learning opportunities outside of my usual work and gave me the opportunity to network with professionals of various backgrounds that had the same interest and passion for the industry as myself. The IQA helped expand my knowledge through its event offers but also enlightened me to the importance of our industry in the general economy and how many remarkable professionals we have in the industry."

- Darko Cvitanovic
Transport Manager, Hanson

"As a member for over 25 years, I enjoy and feel privileged to be a part of the IQA, meeting and learning from a family of fantastic people. Certainly the technical and networking opportunities keeps me at the forefrotn of the industry as it develops."

"For over 20 years I have been a member of the IQA across 3 states. Early on in my career the technical knowledge gained was extremely helpful in teaching a young block that literally started on a shovel digging spillage under a conveyor belt. Over the years I have been fortunate to have made many lifelong relationships with some terrific quarry people with the guidance offered to me through those years being invaluable. It has also been rewarding to give back, guiding and helping others when required. There is an old saying "what you put in is what you get out" so for me being a member of the IQA has been and remains very worthwhile.
