Delivery of the full day Plant & Equipment course has been a resounding success. However, we understand that taking time away from the site can often be difficult, so now you have the opportunity to to take one or more of the plant and equipment modules as and when they are offered. The modules will be delivered online, so you don't need to leave the site, and they are delivered in short sharp sessions for you to bundle together. Delivery of three of the modules will be delivered as outlined below.

Overview:
The 3 (three) Plant & Equipment modules will be delivered over the one day. Participants have the option to to do one module only, or bundle the modules by attending all three over the day. The IQA recommended that the Safety Systems module is undertaken prior to any of the other Plant and Equipment modules.
Each module attracts Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours as outline below.
Safety Systems Module | 10am - 12pm
This module examines the importance of managing risks associated with primarily, fixed plant and equipment. Mobile Plant equipment is covered in the Mobile Plant module.
Learning Objectives:
- To understand the risk management process and identify, assess and control risks
- To understand the plant life cycle, and the need to assess risk at each stage
- To understand the importance of ongoing monitoring of risks and controls, and identify mechanisms for carrying out monitoring

Mobile Plant Module | 1pm - 2pm
This module examines the specific risks and controls related to the use of mobile plant in quarries. It is recommended that the Safety Systems module is undertaken prior to this module.

- To understand the legislative requirements for operation of mobile plant
- To understand the specific risks associated with mobile plant in quarries, and relevant controls

Maintenance Module
This module examines the minimum standards for maintenance, common issues encountered with plant and equipment, risks for maintenance workers, and best practice for scheduled maintenance programs. It is recommended that the Safety Systems module is undertaken prior to this module.

- To understand the minimum standards for maintenance of plant and equipment
- To understand common issues with key plant and equipment in quarries
- To understand best practice for scheduled maintenance of plant and equipment
- To understand the risks for maintenance workers

These modules are recommended for quarry owners, managers, supervisors, senior managers and H&S staff.
