This year, we're offering a great opportunity for the next generation of IQA members to participate in a unique site tour during the IQA National Conference in Newcastle.

Designed specifically for employees aged 16 to 35 within the extractive and associated industries, the Inaugural Next Generation Site Tour will include a private tour of the Orica Kooragang Island Site, lunch and the opportunity to learn from an industry leader.

Orica's Kooragang Island site supplies critical products for mining, infrastructure, agriculture, water supply, food dairy and medical sectors.  The plant uses natural gas (methane) to produce approximately 360,000 tonnes of ammonia per annum.  This ammonia is used in the manufacture of nitric acid and ammonium nitrate, and is also sold for use as an agricultural fertiliser and a refrigerant.

Following the site tour, participants will have the chance to meet senior industry leaders and extend their individual networks at the opening social event of the 63rd National IQA Conference, the Hitachi Welcome Reception.

The Inaugural Next Generation Site Tour will provide the perfect environment for education and engagement for our industry's younger members.

If you or a young member of your team would benefit from this career development opportunity,  we encourage you to register now.
