Leadership Update

Our branches brought 2025 to a close with real energy and engagement – 24 events across November and December between branch, sub-branch and education sessions brought members together right across the country.

Highlights included QLD’s XXXX Brewery networking event in Milton, Victoria’s Bendigo dinner with 110 attendees – the biggest turnout in the branch’s history – the Central West NSW Sub-Branch’s Women in Quarrying event focused on diversity and inclusion, SA’s YMN Sellicks Hard Rock Quarry site tour, and WA’s Blast Safety Seminar tackling critical operational challenges, among many others across the country. Right across Australia, members showed up, connected with peers, and reinforced the collaborative spirit that defines our sector.

Education programs continued right through the busy year-end period, with members prioritising professional development despite busy schedules.

Looking ahead, 2026 has plenty in store – the launch of our national awareness campaign and School to Workforce hub in Q1, our Gold Coast National Conference (6–8 October), the Young Members Network Study Tour to South Africa in April, local Safety & Health Conferences and plenty branch events and professional development sessions across the country.

Office Closure | Our office closes from 22 December 2025 (5pm AEST) and reopens 6 January 2026 (9:30am AEST).

Thank you for your engagement and contribution throughout 2025. Wishing you all a safe and relaxing festive season with family and friends.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the IQA team.
