This unique sector experience provides the opportunity to explore quarry operations firsthand, learn more about the production of construction materials, and gain insight into how these operations support major infrastructure, construction and civil projects across the Central West and wider NSW regions.
Guests will enjoy guided tours of both sites, with the opportunity to see quarry extraction areas, crushing and screening operations, aggregate and road base production, mobile and fixed plant equipment, stockpiling processes, and quarry rehabilitation initiatives.
Metromix has supplied quarry and construction materials across NSW for more than 40 years, including aggregates, manufactured sand and road base products supporting the construction and road building industries. The Marrangaroo tour will be hosted onsite by Quarry Manager Rebecca Finlay.
Bathurst Quarries is a family-owned operation supplying washed and screened sand, gravel and granite products for civil construction, landscaping, concrete batching and infrastructure projects throughout the Central West and Sydney regions. The Bathurst Quarries tour will be hosted onsite by Will Townsend.
