Michelle Knott: Finalist at Women In Industry Awards 2024

On Thursday 20th June, Scott and Michelle from Brooklyn Quarry, attended the Women In Industry Awards at Dolton House in Sydney. Michelle was a finalist in the category for Business Development Success of the Year 2024 and in the running for Women of the year 2024.

Unfortunately, Michelle did not win, but to be a finalist up against global and national companies, Brooklyn Quarry are indeed winners. Women In Industry is a celebration of women who are acknowledged for their exceptional success through their invaluable leadership, innovation and commitment to their sector.

To be a finalist with global companies like Orica and national companies like United Rentals and Cleanaway, was an incredible experience and compliment to Brooklyn Quarry’s achievements.

To be a finalist in a room full of incredible women in industry ranging from manufacturing, rail, engineering, logistics, transport to mining and more. The stories were incredibly inspiring and so motivating. Closing the gender gap is something that can be achieved in this life time. The awards on Thursday evening highlighted this. Its happening. Our daughters should know no gender bias in their chosen field of work. This is important work to break down barriers and create new possibilities for the next generation.

Brooklyn Quarry is on the trajectory to grow in the years to come, becoming an industry for our local community to grow with us. We thrive on being a locally family owned and operated Quarry - not owned or staffed by large corporations.

We are so proud to showcase Brooklyn Quarry but also the entire New England region.   But mostly, so proud to be a finalist in Women In Industry Award for 2024.
